We don't believe European businesses and governments should have to choose between strong cybersecurity and digital sovereignty. So we built both — into one platform, on our own infrastructure, under European jurisdiction.
Sovereign cybersecurity should not be a compromise. It should be the standard.
For two decades, European companies have been told that the choice was simple: either you accept US-headquartered cloud infrastructure and the legal exposure that comes with it, or you settle for worse cybersecurity. We reject that trade-off.
identiqa exists to prove it's a false one. Our platform delivers the speed, the AI capabilities, and the operational maturity that enterprise security teams expect — without dependence on any jurisdiction outside the European Union. Two product lines, four data centres, one principle: sovereign protection without compromise.
We're a focused company in our active growth phase. The numbers below are real, current, and what they look like — not what we'd like them to look like.
identiqa is led by Daniel Schönland, who's been building and operating European internet infrastructure for over twenty years.
That background matters. Many cybersecurity startups are founded by researchers with deep technical knowledge but limited operational experience — the kind that comes from running production systems with paying customers, dealing with EU compliance, and shipping software that can't go down. identiqa is built the other way around.
Daniel founded identiqa to apply two decades of European IT-infrastructure experience to a problem the industry had been quietly avoiding: that the cybersecurity tools available to European businesses were either powerful but jurisdictionally compromised, or sovereign but underwhelming. The market deserved a third option.
Every product decision, every engineering choice, every customer conversation is filtered through these. They're not aspirations — they're constraints.
European data, European jurisdiction, European operators.
Every system that touches customer data runs on infrastructure we own, in EU colocation facilities, operated by EU-resident staff under EU employment law. No exceptions for "non-sensitive" workloads. No marketing-grade sovereignty claims dressed up over hyperscaler stacks. The hard version, every time.
We say what we know. We say what we don't.
When we're not in a market yet, we say that. When a feature is in preparation, we say that. When we're better than competitors, we show it. When we're not, we don't pretend. We'd rather lose a deal to honesty than win one we can't deliver on. Buyers can tell the difference.
Different missions. Different products. Different access standards.
ProtectionGrid is built to keep attacks from reaching customers — a commercial product with commercial buying logic. identiqa Intelligence is built for after the attack — restricted to law enforcement and government, NDA-only, with court-admissible evidence handling. Conflating the two would compromise both.
Two different paths, both genuine. Pick the one that fits — neither is filler.
We're hiring across engineering, security operations, and commercial teams. Roles are typically remote-friendly within the EU, with hubs in Frankfurt, Dublin, Lisbon, Nicosia, and Zurich.
We work with carefully selected channel partners, MSPs, and strategic operators who know their local market deeply and want to bring identiqa with them.
Press, investors, customers, the merely curious — we're available. Pick the path that fits.
